As
of January 1, 2008, all applicants recommended for
employment will be subject to the requirements of Senate
Bill 9. This Bill is a comprehensive statute requiring
various levels of criminal history review for different
types of public employees, including:
All certified educators
working in public schools who have not been previously
fingerprinted
All non-certified public
school employees
All substitute teachers
School Contractor employees
who have direct contact with students
Student teachers and
volunteers, with certain exceptions
As of January 1, 2008, all
non-certified employees will be subject to a national
criminal history record check and will be required to be
fingerprinted through the Department of Public Safety.
Any applicant recommended for employment will be
required to pay a $50.20 fee for the fingerprinting
process. Payment must be made by using a credit card or
prepaid debit card only. No other form of payment will
be accepted.

recomendados para empleo estarán sujetos a los
requerimientos de la Ley 9 del Senado. Esta ley es un
estatuto integral que requiere varios niveles de revisión
del historial criminal de los diferentes tipos de
empleados públicos, incluyendo:
Todos
los educadores certificados que trabajan en escuelas públicas,
que no hayan aún registrado su huella digital.
Todos
los empleados no-certificados de escuelas públicas
Todos
los maestros suplentes
Empleados
escolares contratados que tienen contacto directo con
los estudiantes
Estudiantes
que están haciendo su práctica magisterial y
voluntarios, con ciertas excepciones
A
partir del 1 de enero de 2008, todos los empleados no-certificados
estarán sujetos a un chequeo nacional de historial
criminal y se les requerirá registrar sus huellas
digitales por el Departamento de Seguridad Pública.
Cualquier solicitante
recomendado para empleo debe pedírsele que pague
una cuota de $50.20 por el proceso de registro de sus
huellas digitales. El
pago debe hacerse solamente con tarjeta de crédito o
tarjeta prepagada de débito. No se aceptará ninguna
otra forma de pago.
